About Baby Esther

 

I am very pleased to inform you that the great Baby Esther is now under my direction. She has made a great hit here in France, on everyone's lips you may hear these words: "Isn't she wonderful, marvelous, extraordinary, this little Esther." It is really a miracle to see a child of her age so clever, she is a phenomenon. Every magazine has her in their columns. In fact she has created a bigger sensation than the great Josephine Baker.

She was formerly under the Lou Bolton management, a naturalized Russian-American who tried to draw the color line here in Paris, which was his greatest mistake and oh, how he took advantage (deleted by censor).

He gave Mrs. Jones $8 which created quite a scandal in Paris. It was then that Mrs. Jones asked me to take care of her interests. When Baby Esther arrived in Paris she was greatly in need of clothes on account of Mr. Bolton being too stingy to buy her some. Since she is under my management she has the reputation of being one of the best dressed child artists in France. I hope to make Baby Esther the greatest colored child artist in the world.
