Esther Jones Masters Many Languages

Eleven-year-old child singer scoring in appearances abroad at royal palace. Sang for Denmark's King and Queen. Baby Esther, the highest paid child performer in the world, will appear here in the Empire Theatre for two weeks during the month of February.

Following her appearance here, she will make a six months tour of the South American countries with her manager Sydney Garner and her mother, Mrs. Jones of Chicago. The little star, who is only eleven, and a few year ago was dancing the Charleston on the streets of Chicago, has made a very big hit in Europe, where she has appeared in the leading theatres of most of the European cities.

Appeared before royalty. She has also appeared before the King and Queen of Norway. Their Majesties of Sweden, the King and Queen of Spain, and other nobilities. Baby Esther is versatile, and has picked up the popular songs of the countries in which she plays, and sings them in the language of the country for her audience. When the royal family of Norway visited the Victor Bermaus Theatre at which she was playing in Oslo she sang a Norwegian love song in their honor.

The King and Crown Prince asked that she be presented to them which was done during the entr'acte. The following week she was invited to the palace where she sang and danced for the whole royal family. She has also appeared in talkies for the Excelsior Film Co of Berlin. Her salary runs into four figures weekly and she is booked for the next four years. Mrs. Jones, who was on a visit to America has just returned to Germany, while, the wife of Mr. Garner has presented him with a son.
