Brazil Likes Baby Esther (1932)

Esther Jones a stage celebrity landed at Rio de Janeiro and the press came to interview her at a hotel lobby. One press representative wanted to know "how did the white savages in Texas and Alabama look who lynched and burned black people." Esther Jones of Chicago replied that she had so far escaped their wrath by staying out of the South.
