Moulin Rouge To Have Vaudeville Next Two Weeks (1929)

While waiting for the new revue to be completed the Moulin Rouge will be turned into a vaudeville house. But only for two weeks.

The last revue had to be taken off when Miss Elsie Jants, the soul of the show, fell sick. This is the first time since the famous music hall reopened that an experiment has been made in vaudeville.

Little Esther, a clever little colored girl from New York, who made her Paris debut at the Empire recently, will head the new bill with a clever series of songs and dances.

Abe Lyman and his Californians, jazz musicians, will be the other headliner. The first performance will take place next Friday night.

When the new revue opens next month Mistinguett will have the leading role.
